Haldex Servicing

A Haldex service, which involves changing the oil and potentially the filter (or cleaning the internal strainer), is a crucial maintenance procedure for vehicles equipped with a Haldex all-wheel-drive system.

The service frequency varies by Haldex generation and driving style, but generally, an oil change is recommended every 20,000, with filter replacement (or strainer cleaning for filterless systems).

The Haldex system is essentially a wet multi-plate clutch that relies on oil for proper function and performance. Over time, the oil can degrade and become contaminated, affecting the system's efficiency and potentially leading to premature wear or failure of components like the pump.
