The Forge Motorsport FMSAF1 is an essential hardware adapter kit designed for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 1.8T and 2.0T vehicles equipped with an original factory Secondary Air Injection (SAI) system. Many regional market VAG vehicles utilize a secondary breather pipe attached to the side of the stock air box housing. When upgrading to an open-cone performance intake kit that doesn't include an integrated SAI port, the FMSAF1 allows you to filter this secondary intake stream independently, keeping your emissions architecture working correctly.

Emissions Safety & Filtration Engineering

Leaving the factory secondary air injection pipe unsealed or open allows unfiltered air straight into the emissions system pumps, leading to premature pump wear and warning lights on your dash. The FMSAF1 kit fixes this by utilizing a high-flow, multi-layer foam filtration element mounted onto a custom-machined billet adapter. This configuration slips directly onto the factory hose terminal, keeping your engine bay clean and preventing unmetered particulates from bypassing the filtration system.
