Ecotune Stage 3 Software is an advanced tune for cars with major hardware changes.
Unlike Stage 1 or Stage 2 (which use mostly factory parts), Stage 3 is made for vehicles with upgraded turbos and other parts. It helps your car reach its highest potential.
Stage 3 software gives you:
A big jump in power (horsepower and torque).
Better turbo start-up (spool) and power delivery.
Improved control over boost, ignition, and fuel.
Better performance at high engine speeds (RPM).
Better efficiency when you drive hard (with the right parts).
The Ecotune team tests all Stage 3 tunes. This ensures you get maximum power while keeping your car safe and reliable.
Note: Actual numbers change based on your car model, turbo size, parts used, fuel type, and the car's general condition.
Typical Stage 3 improvements are:
+80 to +200+ horsepower more than Stage 1 (depending on your turbo).
+100 to +250+ Nm more torque.
More power is held at high RPM because the new turbo works better.
Faster gas pedal response and stronger mid-range pull.
More power at the top end, where factory turbos limit performance.
We confirm the final power gains after we check your car's parts and health.
To handle the extra air, heat, and fuel needed, you must have these parts (or they are highly recommended):
Upgraded turbocharger (a bigger or hybrid unit).
High-flow cold air intake.
High-flow turbo inlet pipe.
Upgraded intercooler (often front-mount).
High-flow charge pipes (may vary by car).
Upgraded Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP).
Upgraded High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP).
Bigger fuel injectors.
Optional: Parts that work with E85 fuel if you plan to use it.
High-flow downpipe (sport cat or decat, only where legal).
Upgraded exhaust system to handle more flow.
Optional: Bigger intercooler outlets or boost pipes.
Oil catch can or PCV upgrades.
Upgraded engine mounts.
Performance clutch or upgraded DSG/TCU software (for high torque cars).
Improved cooling parts (oil coolers, better radiator) for hard use.
Before we start tuning, we must do a full pre-tune inspection. This check is crucial:
Safety Check: Stage 3 tuning puts a lot of stress on your engine and fuel system. The check makes sure your car is mechanically sound and safe for this high level of tuning.
Part Verification: Stage 3 software needs specific performance parts. Wrong, broken, or mismatched parts can lead to poor power or engine damage.
Accurate Tuning: Knowing your exact parts lets the Ecotune team build the perfect software for best power and reliability.
Preventing Problems: Finding issues before tuning saves you time, money, and stops possible mechanical failures when driving under heavy load.
In the pre-tune check, we confirm all performance parts are fitted correctly. This includes, but isn't limited to: Turbo, Air Intake, Fuel Pumps (LPFP and HPFP), Injectors, Intercooler, and Exhaust components.
The Ecotune Calibration Team must review and approve all software. Your car will not be released with the new tune until this sign-off is complete.
If you must take the car before approval, we will return it to the stock (factory) software.
Note: Although not required, we recommend a pre-tune inspection for Stage 2 tuning as well.
