Forge Motorsport Tailored Garrett Powermax Turbo Blanket Upgrade

Keep your engine bay temperatures under control and optimize your high-end turbo upgrade with this premium tailored heat management blanket. Designed and manufactured by Forge Motorsport, this version was created due to high demand for a bespoke thermal shield that fits the enlarged dimensions of the Garrett Powermax GT2260S stage 1 turbo upgrade. When car owners initially tried using the universal FMTUBL1 blanket on these larger units, the fitment required compromises. This led our engineering team to develop a dedicated thermal wrap that covers the larger exhaust scroll perfectly without interfering with your actuator links.
Advanced Metallurgy & Internal Mesh Rigidity
This premium heat shield is engineered to work seamlessly alongside your vehicle's factory metal heat shield, providing dual-layer thermal isolation. The outer shell is made from high-temperature silica fabric, reinforced with an inner structural mesh lining. This structural mesh adds structural rigidity and prevents material fatigue or shape loss over extended track sessions. Rated to withstand radiant heat limits up to 1370°C (2500°F), this blanket keeps extreme exhaust temperatures contained entirely inside the turbine turbine scroll, protecting nearby wiring lines, water hoses, and plastic sensors from heat damage.

Performance Induction Gains
Containing heat within the exhaust housing provides significant performance benefits beyond component protection. Keeping exhaust gases hot maintains gas velocity, helping spin up the turbine wheel faster to reduce turbo lag and improve boost response. Additionally, reducing ambient engine bay temperatures lowers overall Inlet Air Temperatures (IATs), ensuring a denser, cooler charge reaches your intake manifold for sustained power delivery.
Recommended Induction Addons
