The Forge Motorsport FMDV30 is a highly engineered, comprehensive recirculation valve solution designed for the Volkswagen Audi Group 1.5 TSI engine family. At the heart of this kit is the legendary, race-proven FMDV008 twin-piston CNC machined valve, recognized across the tuning industry for its durability, quick response times, and robust reliability. This kit completely replaces the restrictive factory plastic charge pipe running from the turbo to the manifold with an upgraded silicone hose assembly, delivering improved flow dynamics and reliable pressure management.
Modern 1.5 TSI power plants lack a traditional mechanical diverter valve from the factory, exposing the turbocharger to destructive turbo surge when lifting off the accelerator throttle pedal. This pressure wave hits the turbo compressor wheel, straining the internal bearings and causing premature turbo failure. The Forge twin-piston valve vents excess pressure back into the intake stream, maintaining turbo rotational speeds for faster throttle recovery and preventing damage on stock or tuned engines.
The included silicone induction hoses feature a specialized inner lining of modified Fluorosilicone. This advanced barrier material ensures the hose remains flexible and vibrant, resisting degradation from modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology (O.A.T.), or engine oil mist. Note: The silicone hoses in this kit are available in standard color options including Gloss Black, Performance Red, and Signature Blue. This ensures clean integration with any engine bay style while providing an uncompromised structural seal.
This comprehensive kit includes an anodized billet boost tap, throttle body couplers, vacuum tubing, hose clamps, and a blanking plug to ensure a straightforward mechanical upgrade.
