Excess crankcase pressure is traditionally vented from the crankcase directly back through the PCV system and drawn into your intake manifold. This recirculated air contains heavy amounts of aerated oil from the crankcase which is then burned by the engine. High-performance turbocharged engines often draw significant amounts of oil into the induction system through this method. This premium Forge Motorsport oil catch tank system effectively isolates and removes aerated oil from the breathing circuit so that it can be cleanly drained and recycled, maintaining optimal combustion and reducing heavy carbon buildup on intake valves.
