FAQs
Intake pipes and hoses are designed to help increase airflow as a part of the vehicle’s air intake system. The larger diameter combined with durable silicone materials ensure that airflow is increased and combustion is created at high performances without engine failure. Creating an unrestricted path for airflow, peak performances can be reached, ideal for car modification and track racing enthusiasts alike.
While standard factory fitted rubber intake pipes and hoses are suitable for daily driving and street use, silicone has its own place for the track. It is designed specifically to endure increased turbulence and expansion that comes with more airflow at peak performance.
It’s actually a common misconception that increasing the diameter for the intake pipe will always increase your vehicle’s airflow. While it’s true that larger intake pipes can make the airflow path a lot less restrictive, choosing one that’s too large can decrease velocity, affecting torque and throttle response. For performance enthusiasts, It’s definitely something to consider if you’re interested in sharper throttle responses and a more powerful performance.
Our hoses generally need to be installed as a part of the RacingLine, Forge or d088 performance intake system. Some must be paired in conjunction with specific components such as the Forge and RacingLine Turbo Inlet Elbows, but check with us if you’re unsure.
